Why am I seeing blank spaces in my galleries?
This guide will show you how to identify the cause of blanks and provide the steps to resolve them.
Blanks in your gallery can be caused by a couple of different events.
By going through the steps below, you can identify what is causing the blanks and how to rectify them.

- Re-Authorization
The first (and most common) cause of blanks is the need to re-authorize the source with your Foursixty Dashboard.
Instagram/Facebook and TikTok do not allow for permanent connections to your data as they are always worried about the security of your data.
Our system will identify when Instagram/Facebook require re-authorizations and will show a red bar on the bottom of the screen when you log into the Foursixty Dashboard to maintain your posts.
For Instagram:
Click on the button inside that red bar and re-authenticate your Instagram by logging-into your Instagram account and accepting any prompts that appear.
For Facebook:
Click on the Refresh now button inside that red bar and re-authenticate your Instagram by logging-into your Instagram account and accepting any prompts that appear.
Please Note: Facebook requires that you have the Full Control permission of your company's Facebook Business Page to correctly re-authenticate it. If your account does not have this, please have someone re-authenticate who does to avoid additional complications or delays.
After re-authorizing your account, the post restoration process can take up to 45 minutes to complete. - Post Removal
If your account does not need to be re-authorized, the post could be subject to being removed from Instagram and is, therefore, not available to grab any longer.
If a post is removed from Instagram or if an account changes their security settings from Public to Private, this can cause blanks in your galleries as the posts are not available through Instagram's system for 3rd party apps anymore.
Instagram does not provide notification when this happens and, therefore, Foursixty will display a blank entry in both the Dashboard and in your on-site galleries (if the image is visible).
To check to see if the image is still visible on Instagram, click on the Instagram handle within the Foursixty Dashboard for that post and it will open the link on Instagram in another tab.
If the image is missing or has been removed, you will get an error message telling you the post is not available.
If this is a UGC post and the user has decided to move to Private instead, you will get a message saying that the user is private and the images are not available.
Please note: If you follow that individual, you may still see the post as Private does not stop followers from seeing the posts. In that case, we recommend checking again in an Incognito or Private Browser window to be sure. - Post data is not or no longer available from Instagram
In early 2026, Meta started making changes to internal post classifications where some of them are restricted to a certain age group, have filtering to guard from a variety of sensitivities, or they are just not passing the post image or video data through the API that 3rd party apps use to connect and acquire account data.
For the most part, this would affect approved UGC and we see it the most with older UGC where the other user may not be active recently, or where Meta may be examining their content.
This issue affects every 3rd party app equally and no one, including Foursixty, have a way to workaround this as it's being implemented from the Meta server-side directly.
In these circumstances, we recommend locating the blanks that are in your feed and switching them to hidden status, so they are no longer appearing in your customer-facing galleries.
You can switch the status of the post by flipping the switch located under the blank that appears in your Foursixty Dashboard.
Hopefully, this helps with answering the questions why you are seeing blanks in your Foursixty Dashboard and galleries.
