I am getting an IG Connection Expired error in a red bar at the bottom of my screen.
This is caused by Meta requiring re-authorization of your Instagram Business account and is applied to all 3rd Party apps equally.
This is done to ensure that your account and data is secured when working with 3rd Party apps such as Foursixty.
To get additional information surrounding this and to clear it up, please follow the steps in the Instagram Business re-authorization guide we have available to assist.
When I try to update my content, I get a "400" error in the Dashboard.
Foursixty has a limit of one update request every 60 seconds,.
If you request an additional content update before 60 seconds passes from your last request, you will see this error appear.
The solution for this is to wait 60 seconds, then refresh your page (as browser cache may not immediately show updates without a refresh).
If, at that point, you still do not see an update, then you can try refreshing again.
If, after the second refresh attempt, you still do not see an update, there may be something that is causing a gap in getting your data.
In this case, please reach out to our Support team so we can look into this for you.
When I try to import my UGC, it keeps saying "No posts found".
All Instagram content is sent to Foursixty using Meta's connection through your Facebook Business Page.
Instagram also has several account types that determine what you can do on that platform.
To connect your Instagram to your Facebook Business Page, it cannot be a Personal account, but needs to be upgraded.
The options available for upgrade are Professional account and Creator account.
While Creator account provides you more posting capabilities on Instagram through their app, you cannot pull tagged or mentioned UGC into Foursixty with that type of account.
When this is apparent, you will receive the "No posts found" error and the only resolve is to change the account to a Professional account instead.
To complete this, follow these steps (must be done within the Instagram mobile app when logged in with the account connected to your Facebook Business Page.
- Go to your Instagram profile and tap in the upper right corner. TapSettings and privacy, then Account type and tools, and Switch to professional account.
- Pick a category that best describes your business, then select Business.
- You’re all set, you’ve got an Instagram business account.
Once you have completed this, Meta will start pushing the UGC where you are tagged and mentioned to Foursixty (where you can then request rights to use those posts in your feed).
I am getting the red bar to re-authorize, but it won't go away when I log in with Facebook.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) requires that Business Instagram accounts are connected to Facebook Business pages to allow access to the images and Reels connected to that Instagram account.
They are not providing an alternative way to make these connections in the name of security.
When you authorize a personal Facebook account, that account must hold the Admin/Full Control role for the Facebook Business page that the Instagram account is connected to.
When this happens, you will be given the ability to authenticate the Instagram account and all the additional permissions needed to pull your data.
If your personal Facebook account has already been granted the Admin/Full Control role and you are still not being prompted to authorize the Instagram account, please click on this link and follow the steps in the guide to confirm that your Instagram account is properly connected directly to your Facebook Business page.
If you complete all this and still experience issues, please let our Support team know (and please provide screenshots of the errors that you are experiencing) and we'll be happy to assist wherever we can.
I am getting an Off-Facebook Activity error. How do we fix that?
This is an error that is coming up because of security settings that have been adjusted within the personal Facebook account that is being used to authenticate/re-authenticate the Instagram Business connection.
Please use the steps available in this guide to update the security settings, then authenticate the connection properly.
I just connected my first network, but don't see any posts yet.
Sometimes, depending on the amount of data coming in, request timeouts from the connection, and other circumstances, when you first connect a network, it does not immediately update in the Foursixty Dashboard.
You can generally fix this by clicking on the Refresh Content drop-down box, then clicking on the connection, waiting 60 seconds, then refreshing your browser.
In certain situations, if there was a hiccup when making a connection or if there is a missing required permission, additional steps would need to be taken, up to disconnection and reconnection of the account.
In these cases, it's always recommended to reach out to our Support team so we can identify what happened and make sure the steps taken will clear it up for you.
